These terms apply to work done by Lume Studio, operated by Alaeddine Mbarek, a British Columbia sole proprietorship. The specifics of any project are set out in the signed agreement we sign before work begins; where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement governs.
How projects run
We agree on scope together before any work starts. A signed agreement and a deposit come first, you approve the design before we build, and the balance is due before handover. Timelines are estimates given in good faith and depend on receiving your content and approvals.
You own the code
On final payment, you own 100% of the code and deliverables we create for your project. There is no platform lock-in and no ongoing fee required to keep what we build online. Any third-party services or licenses you choose to use remain subject to their own terms.
Website Care
Your first year of Website Care is included. After that it is optional at $30/month, and you can cancel or take maintenance fully in-house at any time, since you own the code.
Warranty and liability
We build carefully and stand behind our work. That said, the site or app is provided without warranties beyond those in the signed agreement, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Governing law
